EdVenture Partners Broadens Into New Academic Disciplines and Programs for the FBI and Intelligence Community

Partnering with the FBI to Reach Beyond the Business Curriculum

Orinda, Calif. – August 1, 2005 - EdVenture Partners, a leading marketing education consulting company continues to build its relationship with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Founded in 1990, Orinda, California based EdVenture Partners (EVP) is typically known for its Peer-Marketing Programs which are geared primarily toward Business students. However, the objective set forth by the FBI is to recruit more qualified, diverse candidates with critical skills such as high need foreign language fluency, to fill Special Agent and Professional Support positions. To do this, EdVenture Partners’ FBI programs target student participants in academic majors beyond the Schools of Business traditionally served by our programs. These new programs being implemented for the FBI by EdVenture Partners include a Female Linguist Lecture Series, FBI National Case Study Competition, and Middle East initiative, targeted to students of International Relations, Political Science, Area Studies, and Languages such as Arabic.

As the FBI transforms from primarily a preeminent law enforcement agency, to a world-class, forward-thinking intelligence organization, how and where is the Bureau going to find the next generation of best and brightest employees? In order to meet the growing and diversifying need for Special Agents as well as Intelligence Analysts, Linguists, and other professional support positions, the FBI is approaching recruiting and community outreach in a whole new way. What began in 2002 with the FBI Collegiate Marketing and Recruitment Program has grown into a broad-based array of innovative recruitment and outreach initiatives, mutually beneficial to the FBI, faculty, students and community. Today, EdVenture Partners and the FBI are continuing their efforts to bring together educators, students, and clients by creating awareness of the exciting career opportunities within the FBI. “It’s new and it’s innovative and it’s taken us where we’ve never been before. We love it. We’re light-years ahead of where we used to be.” –Gwen Hubbard, chief of the FBI’s national recruiting unit
