Challenge: The Province of Alberta had a critical need to fill the pipeline for careers in policing with qualified candidates. They sought to develop
a compelling Alberta policing brand and Web site to be used in recruitment, as well as learning how the brand can be extended into all communication
media.
Solution: Students in marketing classes were tasked to develop a brand for Alberta police. "Alberta C.O.P.S." was the chosen tagline by the client
and stands for "Career Opportunities in Police Services." Once the brand was determined, students took the program one step further and designed
Web site layout examples with supporting interactive elements. Alberta police selected the most favorable elements and launched their new site:
http://albertacops.ca/. Over the next two
years, EdVenture Partners worked with additional marketing classrooms to implement campaigns using our Marketing Internship model.
